The former president Olusegun Obasanjo has stated that the ex-Minister Education, Obey Ezekwesili, is like a child to him.
The former Nigerian president said he treats Obey Ezekwesili like is biological daughter because she is clever, intelligence, reliable, dynamic and enterprising.
Olusegun Obasanjo made the remarkable while congratulate with Ezekwesili on her 60th birthday.
In the statement signed and made available to Nigeria news , the elder statement recounted how Ex-Minister work with him while he was president. He gave all thanked to God for Ezekwesili life while wishing her more grace with fruitful years.
The statement read in part, Obiageli Ezekwesili is like a daughter to me. Even when she was a minister, I Treated Obey Ezekwesili like the way I treat my biological daughter.
“She was a dynamic young woman who is competent, reliable and very enterprising. As she, therefore, turned 60 today, I can’t but thank God for her life, as I wish her more fulfilling and glorious years decades ahead.
“Ezekwesili and I met through Transparency International, and initiative started by Peter Eigen, who had worked at the World Bank and seen the need for more integrity in the public arena.”
Olusegun Obasanjo said it was “easy to warm up” with Obey Ezekwesili due to her hard work and dedication to duty.
