This started after Football Association of Wales [FAW] agreed to allow equal payment come into effect immediately.
Wales country, there men and women senior players will start earning the same amount of payment for representing their country for the first time in history.
Wales senior men team agreed to take 25% pay out to enable the women team has 25% rise which mean is their parity for representing there country .
“I am very happy about the equal payments, because this is all about equality,” Wales boss Gemma Grainger elucidate.
“Together that make us Stronger and is our message across the Cymru national teams for us all, both on and off the pitch as we look to left Wales on the world stage,” that is what Wales men and women teams said as they joint statement.
“Is part of the FAW goal towards equality, we are very proud to announce this together because our men and women teams has agreed equal payed structure for future international matches.
“We all hope that this will allow future generations of boys and girls to see that equality across Welsh international football, this is very crucial for society as a whole.”
Although the new equal pay agreement will run until 2027.
No matter what, Wales women have never collect the same pay with Wales men before playing international football, but Grainger, recently sign one new deal to remain as national team boss until 2027, because she feel for paying her side equally will send a powerful message.
“We really want our players to embody Together Stronger, because the collabo that is with the men team is something we want to continue.”
” Because we hopefully that collabo will continue to grow.
“We make sure that what we has here will be equal is very important to us. Because our women game is growing and it will continue to grow.”
