Mr President Muhammadu Buhari wishes Nigerians Merry Christmas

The Nigeria president has said that this year celebration has unique as he hail Christians in the Country as they celebrate Merry Christmas.

Mr President Muhammadu Buhari is celebrating the last Christmas in office as the elected president.

Twenty-two (22) weeks from now, his administration will hand over to another administration after the February 2023 elections.

“Because for the last seven years, I haven’t had the privilege of receiving members of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) community on Merry Christmas homage, except the year the COVID-19 pandemic declined us that opportunity.” he said.

Now Mr President Buhari has said that he will fondly remember them as his generous landlords and friendly neighbours.

He also said that, he has wonderful way for ‘us’ to celebrate Merry Christmas as the people pass to show genuine care, love, compassion and empathy for one another too.

“ What we know this time, we must never lose sight of the symbiotic relationship between Merry Christmas and hope, Lord Jesus Christ and humility, Christianity and grace.”, he said.

He also for the Country unity and how it was very important for everybody to renew their pledge and common resolve to work for unity and prosperity of the country as they celebrate this holiday.

Until the last day on his office, Mr President Buhari promise to continue to provide political and material support to sub-national government, all the Armed Forces,, individuals and institutions that work wholeheartedly for the peace, unity, stability and progress of Nigerians.

On his message, he said that they need build on the progress on his administration has make so far on the economic front, especially for food security, infrastructure, anti-corruption, security, energy sufficiency including other things.

The Mr President Buhari acknowledge his statement about the Merry Christmas celebration also follow the period campaign to bring new administration

Based on this, he asked people to vote for those that can create peace and maintain the momentum as the government has created greater good of country.

” Although the opportunity as shown the rest of the world that Nigeria is ready to cement there democratic credentials as the international circles has said.

“ Because we want peace and joy that we are seeing this period continuing to maintain this new year up to the elections on February and beyond.”

He also assure Nigerians people that violently want to disruptive the peace of the country have lose the battle.
