The members of the union have been at blockhead since the strike come to an ended, based of non payment of there Salaries for over the period of strike lasted.
But the Federal Government announced that they have accepted to pay there pending Salaries of lecturers under the body of Congress of University Academics (CONUA) for ASUU demand.
Congress of University Academics (CONUA) which was officially registered and stamped in October 2022, it has they maintained, that its where members is not part of the strike.
From the government recent later asked Niyi Sunmonu , CONUA the National coordinator, to forward the list of the members and their details to the accountant general’s to facilitate pending payment of their salaries.
How this has continued to educe joined reaction, with lecturers under ASUU detracts the move.
Femi Falana the spokes-person, has said ASUU was waiting for the government to pay under (CONUA) before the lecturers will take action.
The truth is that, we don’t have the power to go court yet, you can be aware that the Federal Government is planning to pay lecturers under (CONUA) , now we are waiting for it.
